PITTSBURGH—With illegal logging a major issue nowadays, the Hardwood Council has developed a document with need-to-know facts on wood species in North America.

“Fast Facts on North American Hardwoods” discusses a dozen of the most important pieces of information retailers, designers, architects and consumers should know when dealing with domestic species.

The document is available free at the council’s Web site, www.hardwoodcouncil.com. “Print it out and distribute it freely,” is the council’s motto.
