ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J.—LG Floors recently named David Thoresen executive vice president. Thoresen, an industry veteran, joins the company at its headquarters here after eight years with Mannington Mills in several executive positions—most recently manager of retail strategic accounts.

He said when it comes to LG, “A consistent approach and strategy is all that’s missing. Once implemented, we will awaken the sleeping giant known as LG Floors.”

Though the year will be challenging, Thorensen explained, “The commercial market still holds great opportunity,” with healthcare and education as viable arenas for the company. “Retail and residential will be more challenging and, thus, will require the most work to make inroads.”

However, he noted LG’s partners and sales team are excellent. “We have the ability to move faster than our larger competitors, and that combined with great product quality and world-class design ensures our future will be great.”
