Installerpool.com connects dealers with installers

KNOXVILLE, TENN.— One of the biggest challenges faced by the industry is dealers finding, maintaining and managing good quality installers. While a number of national associations and programs have helped train and certify installers and help raise the profession to a new level, the problem of connecting these professionals with retailers who covet quality work still exists.

With Installerpool.com, the problem can now be fixed. The company’s Aaron Johnson said Installerpoll.com has introduced software that not only makes life easier for flooring dealers and installers, but can make them both more profitable by helping them manage their businesses more effectively.

With Installerpool.com dealers will have instant access to quality installers’ profiles and schedules in their own area and in any other geographical area they sell in, Johnson noted. Dealers can also rate the installer’s quality of work, thus holding him accountable for his performance.

“The rating system motivates installers to ‘want to do better,’” he added. “It will increase the percentage of satisfied customers, repeat and referral business and reduce number of callbacks.”

The process of connecting retailer and installer is simple. The dealer schedules the desired installer and notifies him via email. The installer at the same time receives a work order that itemizes the work to be done and the fees for which he will be paid. The installer can then accept or reject the new job.

“Installerpool will take the guesswork out of trying to find a good installer,” Johnson said. “It also gives you instant access to all the installers in your area, with their contact info, their profile and how they have been rated by other flooring stores. You can even see pictures of their work—if they’ve uploaded some.”

For mechanics, Installerpool.com has provided a tool to manage their businesses better and, for the first time ever, creates a resume for the installers. Installers can also choose to keep their profiles private to particular retailers.

Johnson said Installerpool’s focus is to make “a positive shift in the worldwide pool of installers,” and provide incentives that will dramatically increase the number of certified and qualified installers.
