SINT-BAAFS-VIJVE, BELGIUM— Jules Noten has been named CEO of The Balta Group. He replaces Marcus Billman, who is relocating to the UK to pursue opportunities closer to his family.

Noten was most recently CEO of Partners in Lighting International (PLI). At PLI since 2003, he is credited with helping to increase the firm’s annual turnover from 300 million Euros to more than 450 million Euros, along with making a number of key acquisitions.

Prior to PLI, he spent 18 years with Unilever, including three as chairman of Unilever Bestfoods and president of Unilever Belgium.

The Balta Group is a combination of complementary businesses that together offer a complete set of décor solutions, including rugs, broadloom and laminate flooring. It operates in the U.S. under Balta US.
