INSTALL NYC provides education, networking at regional floor symposium

NEW YORK—According to event officials, INSTALL NYC’s recent New York Regional Floor Symposium, which attracted more than 200 architects and design professionals, has proven to be a rousing success.

The one-day trade show and professional education event featured exhibits by flooring manufacturers as well as educational sessions designed to provide architects, facility managers, interior designers and other design professionals with the latest innovations and technologies.

Credits were provided to architects and interior design professionals who attended the continuing education sessions, which were led by partners of the INSTALL alliance.

The symposium attracted a capacity crowd comprised of design professionals from the New York City area and was co-sponsored by some of the industry’s top flooring companies, including Consolidated Carpet, Dayton Superior, Bentley Prince Street, Ardex, the Greater New York Floor Coverers Association, Roppe, WF Taylor, Interface and Elite Flooring.

Design professionals were introduced to new technologies, products and services, and certification demonstrations were provided by INSTALL, giving exposure to the flooring certification process and the attention to quality that INSTALL signifies, noted Jeff Passante a member of Local 2287.

According to David Meberg of Consolidated Carpet, a member of the INSTALL event planning committee, “The goal of the symposium was to exchange ideas, elevate the industry and provide a platform for professionals to network and discuss the many important industry issues.”
