RFMS expands Measure program
Article Number: 4014

TUSCALOOSA, ALA.—Inspired by innovation, Resource and Financial Management Systems’ ( RFMS) takeoff estimating system, Measure by RFMS, is now available on a monthly subscription basis. Five of the software’s seven editions— Measure Desktop w/DISTO, Measure Designer, Measure Professional and Measure Commercial—will now be offered at a monthly rate, eliminating the up-front expense of purchasing the programs outright. All subscriptions include a 30- ay trial and can be canceled at any time.

“Measure by Subscription is being offered as a new license type,” said Maria Cauchon, media services director. “We still promote our original business model of outright purchase, but we know the economy is hitting the industry rather hard, so Measure by RFMS needed to be easier for new clients to get on board. Monthly rates may be more practical from a cash-flow position for some companies.”

She pointed to several added benefits of using a subscriptionbased package:

• Constant access to the latest updates without repurchasing.

• Ideal for businesses with sales “swings,” requiring the software for occasional use.

• Access to up-to-date documentation, help files and other support information.

• Use the software only when you need it.

“Subscriptions include all updates and new releases, plus full customer support. It is identical to the original Measure business model, except for the fact a person can pay monthly for its use for as long as they need it and not have to make a capital investment,” Cauchon explained.

To subscribe, customers should visit www.measurebyrfms.com and click on the “Buy It” button. Users install the same Measure by RFMS program as everyone else, enter a credit card through Paypal and begin using the software. The first 30 days are free, after which, customers’ credit cards are billed monthly depending on which version they subscribe to. Prices start at $35 a month.

Cauchon pointed out this is just one example of RFMS’ commitment to continual advancement. Another program always on the upgrade is the company’s 10-year- old productivity software, Schedule Pro, which is updated weekly. Cauchon said the key differentiator of this software is “its ability to interface with the total package; it’s not a stand alone program.”
