WEST BLOOMFIELD, MICH.—The Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association (FCICA) has always been about more than education and promoting professionalism, it is also about giving back and helping others.

The latest example is a program that allows members to support the Canines for Combat Veterans through NEADS (Dogs For Deaf and Disabled Americans). NEADS is a non-profit organization established in 1976. Among the types of training dogs receive are hearing, service, social, specialty, classroom, ministry, therapy and walker dogs.

NEADS relies solely on donations. It receives no government funding.
