WASHINGTON, D.C.—With a reception and dinner on Jan. 27 of 2009, the
National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) will convene its Executive Summit in the nation’s capital to focus on the most important issue facing wholesaler-distributors in the coming year: The economy. The event, which concludes Jan. 29, is titled, “Distributor Success Stories: Profiting Despite the Difficult Economy.”
Unlike some other conferences, noted NAW president Dirk Von Dongen, NAW “won’t waste wholesaler-distributors’ valuable time by telling them what they already know—that ‘the economy is challenging.’” Instead, the organization will share what other wholesaler-distributors are doing—right now—to succeed despite difficult economic conditions. Participants will hear and participate in a series of in-depth expert presentations, distributor case studies, and peer-to-peer discussion roundtables.
“We already know the economy is challenging,” said Dongen. “Wholesale distribution executives who attend our summit will learn what they can do about it.”
The NAW Executive Summit program will feature experts from within the wholesale distribution industry, the public policy sector, and the media. Participants will hear from Washington insiders about how the business climate is in general and how their business in particular will be impacted in the first session of the 111th Congress and with a new Administration in office.
