UNCASVILLE, CONN.—
NRF Distributors held its fourth annual Fall Flooring Market recently at the Mohegan Sun Casino here as more than 1,000 attendees turned out to take advantage of a plethora of deals and discounts.
“With the downturn in the economy, we were uncertain about the outcome and overall success of the show,” said senior vice president of marketing Terry Gray. “As you can see, foot traffic was very heavy and customers were there to buy and take advantage of the huge savings offered in every division. In attendance were personnel from 365 stores, a 20% increase from last year’s show, making this annual event the most successful at this venue to date.”
Customers traveled from as far north as Caribou, Me., to as far west as Wellsboro, Pa., to attend the record-breaking show. NRF offered exciting opportunities for customers’ to earn casino chips and the chance to win a brand new Toyota Prius, which was ultimately won by Flooring Showcase of Littleton, Miss. More than 1,000 people passed through the show doors, and more than 400 were booked for Mohegan Sun’s luxurious accommodations.

Formica, Mohawk,
Quick•Step, Leggett & Platt,
Johnsonite, Proma, Lauzon, and Somerset, were busy all day showing their products .

NRF’s next sales event will be its North East Floor Covering Market on March 2 at its headquarters in Augusta, Me.
