WFCA site wins international acclaim

ANAHEIM, CALIF.—For the second year in a row, the World Floor Covering Association’s ( WFCA) consumer Web site, wfca.org received the acclaimed W³ Silver Award trophy for outstanding achievement in Web site design by the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA).

The W³ awards recognize the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning Web sites, videos and marketing programs. Thousands of entries were judged against a standard of excellence determined by IAVA in the following categories: creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design, and ease of use.

Launched in 2006, WFCA’s site was designed and is managed by partner Bridgeway Interactive— a Sausalito, Calif.-based Web design firm lead by Michael Vogel, president and CEO.

“By all accounts, wfca.org has been a tremendous success both for our industry and for the consumer market,” said Chris Davis, WFCA’s president and CEO. “The highly trafficked site, which is regularly updated with the latest information, tools and resources receives thousands of visits every day.”

IAVA is an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a wide variety of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising and marketing firms. Members include executives from such organizations as Brand-Week, Coach, Estee Lauder, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Victoria’s Secret, Yahoo! and many others.
