DALTON—The Georgia Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) awarded Tandus with its Company Environmental Award for the mill’s waste management practices.

A&WMA recognizes companies that demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability and have instituted practices or procedures that show a dedication to going beyond regulatory compliance.

Tandus was cited for reducing solid waste consumption by 95% per square yard and its waste to landfill being less than 1% by weight of total production.

In addition, Tandus was noted for other initiatives such as its Floore, Retrieve and Green Samples programs.
