DALTON—It’s time once again for Shaw’s Winter Market tour, which will be held at various locations across the U.S. throughout the month of January. Focusing on product and program introductions to differentiate in today’s tough market, the events will also serve as a relationship-building and networking forum for Shaw associates and retailers.
Reggie Newton, vice president of residential marketing, explained the events will introduce “revolutionary” soft and hard surface products to the market as well as displays and competitive programs to help increase business in a less-than-desirable economy.
“The market is challenging in most regions of the country,” he said. “However, successful retailers are looking for concepts of differentiation. And, that’s what the Shaw Winter Market events are all about.”
One important market introduction will be the company’s new carpet fiber technology, which is Shaw’s “softest, cleanest, greenest” nylon yet (
FCNews, Oct. 13/20). In late September, the mill launched the new technology within the recyclable EverTouch collection, and additional introductions within ClearTouch and
Anso nylon will hit the market this winter. Shaw will also showcase several new hard surface visuals in conjunction with Anderson and Zickgraf across all categories—hardwood, laminate, and tile and stone.
Dates for Shaw’s 2009 Winter Market events are:
• Jan. 8 to 10 in Dallas, Embassy Suites – Grapevine
• Jan. 15 & 16 in Atlanta, Cobb Energy Center
• Jan. 20 to 23 in Anaheim, Calif., Disneyland Grand Californian
• Jan. 22 & 23 in Tampa, Fla., Hard Rock Hotel
• Jan. 27 to 29 in Seattle, Sheraton Convention Center
• Jan. 28 to 30 in Chicago, Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers
• Jan. 28 to 30 in Toronto, Canada, Doubletree Hotel
“We’re looking forward to spending time with our invaluable retailers while delivering the best products and tools available,” Newton said. “We’re all working toward the same goal of exceeding the expectations of the consumer, and I feel confident the programs introduced at our 2009 events will also surpass the expectations of Shaw retailers.”
