HARTFORD, CONN.—Brian Booth of Booth Flooring was elected president of the Connecticut Floor Covering Association (CFCA) during the organization’s annual “Night at the Rockcats” event last month. Booth served as CFCA’s vice president during the previous year. He replaces Joe Demaio of Couristan, who served as the association’s president the past two years and will remain active with CFCA as a director.

In addition to Booth, the following were elected as officers, serving a one-year term: Karen Cook of Cook & Kozlak Flooring Center, vice president; John Haberlin of International Granite & Marble Corp., secretary, and Rick Shane of Bestflor Distributors, treasurer.

The fourth Night at the Rockcats was held at New Britain Stadium home of the New Britain Rockcats baseball team. The team, which is the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins, plays in the Eastern League.

More than 75 association members and their families enjoyed a picnic dinner at the ballpark, which drew an all-time record 365,758 people during the just-completed season.
