St. Louis—During its annual meeting at the 18th edition of the National
Wood Flooring Association’s ( NWFA) convention here, the organization elected
its 2003 board members. Wayne Cotton of Design Flooring Distributors in
Deerfield Beach, Fla., was elected president. He has devoted much time to NWFA
having just concluded a term as its vice president. David Williams of Horizon
Forest Products in Raleigh, N.C., is now the immediate past president. Joe
Audino of Rode Bros. Flooring in Henderson, Nev., continues his involvement with
the organization by being elected vice president. He was most recently NWFA’s
secretary. Taking over Audino’s former role is Ken Schumacher of Schumacher
& Co. in Newport, Ky. He is no stranger to the board having recently served
as a director.
Don Connor of Mullican Flooring in Johnson City, Tenn., was voted to continue
his role as the association’s treasurer. Directors voted in are as follows:

A. DiFebo & Sons in Wilmington, Del.; Galen Fitzel of 3M Construction &
Home Improvement in St. Paul, Minn.; Tom Gormley of Goodfellow in Delson,
Quebec, Canada; Leonard Hall of Endurance Floor Co. in Miami; Glen Miller of
Preverco in St. Augustindèsmaurés, Quebec, Canada; Yvette Monroe of R&R
Hardwood in Boise, Idaho; Neil Moss of Armstrong Wood Products in Addison, Tex.;
Richard Poirier of Dimension International in Loretteville, Quebec, Canada; Mark
Weglowski of BonaKemi USA in Aurora, Colo., and Bruce Whisenhunt of Palo Dura
Hardwoods in Denver.
The association’s three ex-officio directors include Donna Millard of
Millwood Specialty Flooring Corp. in Elijay, Ga.; Barry Nelson of Glitsa
American in Maple Grove, Minn., and Janet Sullivan of Lenmar in Baltimore.
Finally, Ed Korczak will continue on as NWFA’s executive director and Anita
Howard stays on as the association’s communications director. NWFA’s board
is the governing body of the association and is responsible for its management
and operations. It consists of four officers and 11 directors, each of whom are
voted into office for a three-year term by the NWFA membership. For more
