KENNESAW, GA.— In an effort to drive traffic and increase sales, Invista has been offering fall and spring promotions over the past 20 years. This autumn it’s announced its biggest Stainmaster fall promotion yet—the Fall Anniversary Celebration— which will take place Sept. 1 through Dec. 31.

During the celebration, Invista will extend the limited warranty on Stainmaster carpet by five years. And, if consumers purchase Stainmaster cushion with their carpet, they receive an additional three-year warranty.

Steve Griffith, vice president of North American residential flooring, said the events have grown year over year, and Invista is expecting continued participation this fall. “We have been offering fall promotion programs off and on for the past 10 years, but over the last four we have been much more consistent in providing support to our retailers on specific dates so they can hitchhike on and maximize the offering.”

This year’s Fall Anniversary Celebration will include POP kits—featuring materials like mobiles, window clings and poster and shelf talkers to maximize the fall promo message and engage consumer while in the store— and free online training for retailers and their staff. In addition, Invista runs national TV ads announcing the consumer fall promo, and supports retailers by providing ad slicks and customizable TV and radio spots.

“We’re excited to be able to offer some additional merchandising power to our customers,” Griffith said. “Plus, it’s another great way for them to reinforce to their customers that buying a Stainmaster carpet, even in difficult times, is a great long-term investment for their home.”

Some key selling points noted by Invista include: Stainmaster carpet stays up to 30% cleaner and lasts up to 50% longer than other carpets.
