WILMINGTON, DEL.—DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise has developed new fluorotelomer products for repellents and surfactants that deliver maximum performance with a minimal environmental footprint. The company said its Capstone products provide a step-change reduction in trace impurities below the limit of detection, offering customers the same or better performance than their predecessors without a compromise in the products’ fluorine efficiencies.

DuPont Capstone products are commercially available for many end uses. They represent a sustainable, performance-driven line of products that are used to make surface-protection products such as stain- and soil-resistant treatments for the carpet care industry, which can be used both residentially and commercially, said Dr. Stephen Korzeniowski, surface protection solutions and technical manager for DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise.

Additional products will be introduced over the next 18 months for paper packaging, textiles and various other end-use markets.
