McNabb Joins Mohawk As Brand Manager, Hard Surfaces

DALTON (May 16, 2008)—Industry veteran Ben McNabb has joined Mohawk Industries as Brand Manager, Hard Surfaces. He takes over the position from Lindsey Ann Waldrep, who has been promoted to Director of Creative Services.

In his new role, McNabb will focus on creating a superior Mohawk Hard Surface brand experience across multiple channels, including Open Line, Aligned, Portico, Buying Groups and Home Centers. McNabb will be responsible for consistent messaging, overall satisfaction and loyalty in a diverse and rapidly changing marketplace.

He will work with the Mohawk Hard Surfaces product groups (wood, laminate and ceramic) to manage all marketing and sampling programs, providing all channels superior, relevant, and cost-effective marketing programs, materials and sample vehicles.

“Ben brings tremendous talent and new ideas to the Brand Manager position,” said Bob Leahy, Vice President of Hard Surfaces for Mohawk. “We’re delighted to have him as part of our team.”

Prior to joining Mohawk, McNabb was Hardwood Product Manager for Columbia Flooring. Before coming to Columbia, Ben held both marketing and product positions with Tarkett Wood Floors. McNabb began his career in advertising, working for Creative Energy Group in Johnson City, TN, serving in both account management and operations roles.

McNabb holds a BA in Communications from East Tennessee State University. He and his family will reside in the Dalton area.
