March 27, 2008 –Mannington’s Installation Training Center is up and running, and throughout 2008 will be offering classes on installing its resilient, laminate and hardwood products. “In the past two years, Mannington’s product categories have expanded to include groutable Luxury Vinyl Tile, glassback resilient, and LocnGo hardwood, so this is the perfect time to re-introduce the Training Center to installers,” said Terry Fitzpatrick, Installation Manager at Mannington.

In all categories, the training focuses on subfloor selection and preparation, as well as floor repairs. Resilient classes include specialized instruction on cutting, fitting, adhesive selection and application, seam cutting and sealing, and hands-on LVT installation instruction. Hardwood/laminate classes take a look at the general properties of engineered hardwood flooring, and the techniques involved with layout, fitting, and fastening.

The 2008 class schedule is as follows:

Resilient: May 18 – May 22, October 19 – October 23

Hardwood/Laminate: April 20 – April 24, September 21 – September 25, November 9 – November 13

Installers who complete the course will receive a Mannington “Factory Trained” certificate and an exclusively designed “Factory Trained” polo shirt. Class size is limited to 10 people per session, and is open to installers affiliated with Mannington Specialty Retailers.
