DALTON GA, March 24, 2008 — In the aftermath of a rare downtown tornado, determined dealers from across the southeast were on hand at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis last week for an up-close look at
Beaulieu of America’s newest carpet brand: Bliss. Even while falling glass kept traffic off several nearby streets, the traffic inside the Marriott Bliss party was brisk with a couple hundred dealers attending the two-day event.
Beaulieu signed several Complete Bliss dealers, heading toward its goal of 200 fully aligned dealers in 2008. The ultimate goal is about 700 aligned dealers, nationwide. Complete Bliss dealers receive numerous benefits, such as branding dedicated just for them, advertising assistance, installation training, and reward and credit programs. Many dealers acknowledge that being selected is a bit of an honor.
Blissful Displays
The showroom displays were the real stars of the “Bliss Experience” event. In creating a new brand from the ground up, Beaulieu designed a new approach for carpet showroom displays for Bliss—and the southeast dealers took note. Mike Stroud of Stroud’s Building Supply in Morganton, NC, liked the Bliss Healthy Essence wall display, “I like the new look and the way the product is shown at eye-level.”
Jeff Meadows, Exec.V.P. for Beaulieu of America, was pleased with Stroud’s reaction and those of other dealers, “This program gives aligned dealers Complete Bliss in just 1800 sq. ft. of floor space and is showcased for the way she (the typical carpet consumer) likes to shop.” He added, “We’re bringing her back to carpet and the dealers love it because carpet provides the best margins.”
Blissful Shopping Experience
What impressed Beaulieu executives most were the intensity and interest expressed by many of the dealers looking for ways to improve their customer’s shopping experience.
“We’ve actually had dealers come up to us and say ‘this is what we’ve been waiting for’ when they see how we’ve designed the Bliss shopping experience,” recalled Patricia Flavin, Sr.V.P. Marketing for Beaulieu. Steven Meier, the Divisional V.P. responsible for the Atlanta show, was delighted, “The quality of the dealers who’ve attended has been great. We are very pleased.”
Bliss by Beaulieu is a new residential carpet brand designed to appeal to female consumer preferences in colors, styles, indoor environment, durability and overall shopping experience.
