PAWTUCKET, R.I.—Braided-texture area rugs and accessories producer CMI (Colonial Mills Inc.) will hold 2007 pricing on all products throughout 2008 and extend its Rug Sample special, initially launched last summer, until March 31.
The rug sample special features savings of up to 60% on CMI’s Rug Sample Centers, swing arm systems, fabric rug customizers and custom POM sets as listed on the company’s Web site. Specifically, CMI’s Rug Sample Center, with a regular price of $3,654 and a package cost of $1,799, is now $1,499 for the package and free with a $3,000 order.
If just a rack fixture is needed, the price is now $299 compared to the regular price of $475. The company’s swing arm sample system, regularly $7,004 and packaged at $3,499, is now $2,999 for the package and free with a $6,000 order. The fabric rug customizer sample set, regularly $99, is now $69, while the fabric rug customizer swing arm set has a regular price of $249 and is now $199 with the special. Lastly, the price for the custom POM set has been reduced from $99 to $79.
In addition, the company is offering individual sample sets at 50% off list or free with a like dollar order. Old samples can also be returned for credit toward new samples and sample rebates have been extended from 10% within one year to 20% within two years.
CMI’s Rug Sample Center displays the entire line of 32 styles while using only 15 square feet of floor space. The company’s swing arm sample system displays its entire line of ovals and rectangles on only nine swing arms. The system consists of 18 rugs with samples and free merchandising aids attached.
Both displays feature millions of color and design options, noted Donald Scarlata, president acd CEO, “The fabric rug customizer quickly demonstrates the fabric rug design possibilities and allows the use of the customer’s own material. The custom POM set, which includes samples of all the company’s available yarn colors and fabrics, is ideal for custom orders and easily attaches to display racks.”
