Dallas—With approximately 1,000 companies from around the world expected to exhibit their products, programs and services at Surfaces 2004 many retailers, designers, installers and distributors are already making their plans to attend the 15th edition of the industry’s largest all encompassing trade show at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas from Jan. 28 to 30.

In case it is not enough to see everything the industry has to offer, Hanley-Wood Exhibitions, Surfaces’ owner, has teamed with Mannington Mills to present Surfaces Celebration, featuring the legendary disco and R&B band, Kool & The Gang, taking place Thursday, Jan. 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Mirage Hotel & Casino. Michelle Troop, Hanley-Wood’s senior show director, said Surfaces Celebration is “a world-class networking event that will feature a casual atmospheres filled with fun, food, beverages and the funky sounds of one of the top music groups of the ’70s and ’80s.

“After two days of doing serious business on the show floor,” she added, Surfaces Celebration is the perfect opportunity to let loose and have some fun. It’s a can’t miss event for the entire industry.” Kool & The Gang is a grammy-winning pop music group with more than 70 million records sold worldwide. The band’s list of hits include “Celebration,” “Cherish,” “Ladies Night,” and “Get Down On It,” to name a few. The concert and networking social is open to anyone in the industry.
