DALTON, GA, January 25, 2008— Karastan is the 12-time winner of America’s Magnificent Carpet Award, an annual contest held during the Atlanta Rug Market in January. This year, Villa Veneto from Karastan’s Antique Legends Collection took home best overall in the power-loomed $1,000+ (retail) 6 x 9 category. The award was presented to Karastan at a ceremony held at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Retailers visiting Karastan’s showroom during the Atlanta Rug market were extremely impressed with Villa Veneto’s handmade appearance and Karastan’s amazing use of color. Villa Veneto, which was inspired by a hand-knotted Sultanabad design, is designed in shades reminiscent of the weathered walls of Italian villas. An elegant palette of terra cotta, amber and peacock blue is combined with sumptuous, fully worsted New Zealand wool to provide the ultimate statement in relaxed luxury.

Karastan offers Villa Veneto in 5.9 x 9, 8.8 x 10 and 8.8 x 12 sizes with an estimated retail of $1,299 for a 5.9 x 9.
