Surfaces debuts new pavilions, product brochure
Article Number: 2636

Dallas—Surfaces 2008 will offer a new twist with three pavilions: new product, decorative concrete and handcrafted tile.

Approximately 33 exhibiting companies will showcase their newest products in the new product pavilion, located in Hall G of the Sands Expo & Convention Center. This 3,200-square-foot space is an exclusive area dedicated to displaying these products outside of the standard exhibitor booth. The pavilion will be a general walk-through area located right in front on the main aisle. Products will be displayed on tables or within a 3 x 3-square-foot area. It will not be manned by company personnel.

The 3,000-square-foot decorative concrete pavilion and 2,000-square-foot handcrafted tile pavilion, also located in Hall G, will feature approximately 13 companies apiece in standard 10 x 10 or 10 x 20 booths. Both pavilions will be manned by company personnel but will serve mainly as browsing areas; no product orders will be taken. The decorative concrete area is on the left side of the hall and the handcrafted tile pavilion is on the right side.

In addition to the new pavilions, Surfaces will debut the New Product Preview brochure, which hits the streets after Thanksgiving and features some of the newest products exhibitors will be introducing at the show. It is designed to provide a “sneak peak” at what attendees can expect to see when visiting their suppliers’ booths on the show floor.

Dana Teague, show director, talked about the mindset behind the brochure. “The exhibitors love it because it gives their companies additional exposure prior to the show; attendees love it because they can get a glimpse of some the hottest products before they get to the show.”
