Chicago—Carpet cleaning products company Spotting Solutions has improved the formula of its Coffee and Tea Stain Remover.

“We improved the formula based on what we call ‘The Starbucks Effect,’” said Lou Sheperd, sales manager. “We’ve been hearing about the sudden upsurge of coffee stains outside of apartments and condos,” he said. “Folks coming home at the end of the day with their Starbucks, the mail and their purse or briefcase turn the key and spill their coffee.”

Carpet cleaners are being asked to deal with these stains, Sheperd explained. “So we improved our formula so it works even better on coffee with cream and sugar.”
