LAGRANGE, GA.— Milliken Floor Covering is making its first manufacturing investment in China. The facility is a project of its new wholly owned manufacturing company, Milliken Textile (Zhangjiagang). The project involves the installation of Milliken proprietary technologies for the production of commercial carpet with start-up projected for end of this year.

The facility is designed to serve the rapidly-growing commercial carpet markets in both China and the rest of the Asia Pacific region, noted Russell Grizzle, president of Milliken’s Floor Covering Division.

“These markets for commercial carpet have grown and are projected to continue to grow very rapidly,” he added.

Additionally, Grizzle said the Milliken brand is considered one of the 10 most trusted brands in China.
