Hakatai Enterprises, Inc., importer and distributor of glass mosaic tile, has introduced a highly artistic glass mosaic mural program: “mosaic murals and design,” featuring masterfully cut mosaic murals, made from Hakatai’s fashionable collection of glass tiles. Each custom designed mural can be made from a photo, painting, CAD or detailed drawing. Hakatai’s mosaic mural and design program is ideal for a wide range of wall applications, from full hotel, restaurant or casino walls, to a residential glass tile mural masterpiece.

Hakatai’s experienced team of designers and mosaic artists can turn any drawing or design into a hand-cut, hand-aligned, fine art mosaic mural. Transform the intricate designs of classic art, favorite drawings or company logos into fine-cut glass mosaic murals. Hundreds of shades of colors are available to the mosaicists, permitting them to match the varying colors and textures in the original drawing.

Dimensions are limitless. Smaller murals will require finer cut tile to achieve the same detail as a larger mural using rough cut tile. Mosaic murals are suitable for any interior or exterior wall application where ceramic, stone or porcelain tile may be used. Murals can also be installed in many floor and pool applications, but foot traffic and sharp edges of cut tile must be taken into account, before deciding on suitability.

Hakatai custom murals are typically mounted on a mesh backing and a clear film is applied to the face for shipping and installation protection. Paper-face mounting is also available. Cut murals up to 6.5’ x 13’ are shipped as a single unit and rolled up like a carpet. Murals larger than this are cut into smaller sections at the factory and then rejoined at the time of the installation. Uncut murals are delivered on Hakatai’s standard 1.15 square foot sheets and labeled with instructions for proper positioning.

To achieve desired results, it is highly recommended that skilled tile tradesmen be used for all mural installations.
