Englewood Cliffs, N.J.—LG Floors, a division of
LG Chem, announced it will now directly manage sales, marketing, distribution and logistics for its portfolio of commercial vinyl flooring in the U.S. market. The company will continue to work with a network of regional distributors from across the country to best support the line and service its customers.
Through this move, LG Floors anticipates increasing visibility and awareness for its comprehensive collections of vinyl flooring for the commercial marketplace. The portfolio includes heterogeneous sheet vinyl, luxury sheet vinyl, solid vinyl tile and ESD specialty tile, all of which will be warehoused in central New Jersey.
“Since entering the U.S. market in 2004, we have steadily grown our business, especially within the healthcare and retail sectors,” said Steven Park, president of LG Chem America. “Between 2004 and 2006, we’ve seen a substantial increase in sales and expansion of our distribution network. Currently, we are in discussion with several major flooring distributors in the U.S. for carrying LG Floors’ products. We also completed fostering our internal organization from sales personnel to customer service and from top to bottom.”
Already in place are specifier sampling tools, which have been developed over the past two years, as well as plans for LG Floors’ 2007 advertising schedule, targeting the trade, as well as architects, designers, specifiers and facility managers.
Additionally, the company’s long-term plans include a concentration on further developing the U.S. market.
