Chicago—Exhibit space for Coverings 2007 is nearly sold out—500,000 net square feet at the McCormick Place Convention Center here.

Tamara Christian, show director, noted that pre-registration for the April 17 to 20 event has also skyrocketed, 28% higher than last year, with core segments including architects, designers, retailers, distributors and contractors increased by double digits.

“At this rate, we’re expecting more than 35,000 total attendees, which is a 15% increase from last year,” she said. “The level of buzz about the show is unbelievable, fueled by the participation of influential industry organizations.

“Coverings’ return to Chicago is clearly adding to the draw. Exhibitors and attendees are assured of finding a wealth of new products, contacts, strategies and business-building resources.”

More than 1,200 global exhibitors will showcase their latest and most inventive tile and stone products. In addition, this year’s education schedule includes more than 75 seminars, all provided free of charge.
