Mapei goes to the symphony
Article Number: 1756

Like any two teams striving toward great goals, Mapei and the Syphonica Toscanini orchestra were destined to meet. The orchestra is comprised of 200 talented musicians from different countries and is led by Lorin Maazel, one of the world’s great conductors. In 2007, the orchestra will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Arturo Toscanini’s death by re-staging some memorable music tours/concerts the Italian Maestro performed around the world during his career. As its partner, Mapei intends to escort the orchestra along this musical adventure, which has four international tours (U.S., South America, Japan and Israel) and 40 concerts in Europe on the schedule. The U.S. leg of the tour has just ended to rave reviews and standing ovations. Pictured here, from left, are Nick DiTempora, retired president, Mapei Americas; Walfredo Toscanini, grandson of Arturo; Adriana Spazzoli, Symphonica Toscanini board member and marketing director for Mapei woldwide; Maestro Lorin Maazel, music director of Symphonica Toscanini for/New York Philharmonic, and Gianni Baratta, general manager, Symphonica Toscanini.
