Hannover, Germany—Officials for Domotex Hannover are gearing up once again for a spectacular show as the upcoming four-day event is set to take place from Jan. 13 to 16 here at the Hannover Fairgrounds. The market will host approximately 1,250 exhibiting companies from 60 countries.

In addition, Domotex—which exhibits one of the world’s largest arrays of carpets and floor coverings—will also serve as a central venue for educational conferences, forums and meetings staged by international organizations as well as trade associations.

Stephen Kuehne, the board member of Deutsche Messe AG responsible for Domotex, said, “Once again, the demand for space has been huge; we expect to host roughly 1,250 companies and 45,000 visitors.”

In addition, attendance from abroad is projected to exceed 50% in 2007.

An international architecture/interior design forum Contractworld is in Hall #4, where architects, designers and planners meet to talk and share ideas and see the latest developments in the design of offices, hotels and shops.

Located in Hall #3, Floorforum is a contemporary carpet design and textile floor coverings showcase where internationally renowned designer Ulf Moritz will create a series of rooms that demonstrate how modern area rugs and textile floor coverings can work together with furnishing fabrics, furniture and accessories to create an exciting effect.

Business Training is an education workshop in Hall #15 that provides practical advice for the carpet trade, especially for retail salespersons, and covers everything from initial customer contact to providing on-site advice at the customer’s home.

Located in Hall #8, Domotex Work-shop is a floor installation meeting place that features experienced professionals who provide advice, demonstrate the latest installation techniques and tools, and answer questions from the audience. Visitors can also test products.

The Skilled Trades Forum offers lectures and talks delivered by skilled professionals who will discuss typical problems and solutions.
