LAGRANGE, GA.—Revolve – 2007 is
Kaye Gosline’s first color forecast in her new role as creative director for
Milliken & Co.
With the release of Revolve – 2007, Gosline offers fresh perspective on the phenomena of color, including 25 new hues inspired by the art, architecture and natural beauty of Italy. The new book is part travelogue, part color forecast and part photographic study of how location influences the perception of color.
Travel is a key part of the book because Gosline feels it’s the best way to see colors in a fresh new light, away from the day-to-day routine. She captured these images during a recent trip to Rome, Florence, Amalfi, Verona and Venice. From the images, illustrations were pulled using the colors and the patterns to show how the main color could be used in a combination.
Gosline is creative director for the floor covering division of Milliken and has 25 years experience in construction and color development of carpet. She works closely with architects and interior designers throughout the world to track trends in styling and color for contract interiors.
Gosline is an active participant in The Color Marketing Group (CMG), having served numerous times in various leadership positions, including co-chair of the Contract Color Directions committee, Color + Design, and a board member.
