This photo was taken in January of 1971, during the winter market in Chicago—and 35 years ago, the Chicago market was the granddaddy of them all. Diamond Carpet Mills, then a year-old company, made its first trip to the Windy City market and this trio proudly showed a sample of one of the lines it was introducing.
