Erin Adams has once again teamed up with
Ann Sacks to produce a new line of glass tile. This collection is made up of meticulously crafted mosaic patterns composed in brilliant jewel tones.
The first selection is a graphic assortment of circles in varying sizes, and the second is a natural scene of silhouetted curling leafy vines. As with all the Erin Adams products for Ann Sacks, these mosaics are customized and made to order, resulting in individual and totally unique art installations.
“Erin Adams has developed a technique for cutting larger pieces of glass that results in very graphic and striking patterns,” said John Hart, chief merchandising officer, Ann Sacks & Kallista. “These tiles also come in a terrific palette of gorgeous colors, so when you combine the larger shapes with the bright colors, it creates a stunning installation.”
Because glass is the medium used to capture these rich hues, the installations take on a depth and brilliance not found in typical ceramic tile installations, the comapny said.
These pieces have a genuine glow to them, and this aura of pure color brings warmth and beauty to any setting. In addition, the nature of the graphics and the hand-craftsmanship results in installations that will certainly be the center of attention for many years to come.
“I have always appreciated the way decorative wallpaper can give a room a unique, elegant feel, and that was part of my inspiration for this collection,” Adams said. “I drew upon that idea of reoccuring motifs that are graceful and artistic.
“I also love the whimsy of polka dots and how they immediately create a lighthearted appeal. I was able to develop a method of cutting the glass that allowed for very fine lines and curves, so the overall look is quite precise and eye-catching.”
