Dallas—With vintage/antique and country looks still in high demand among consumers,
Quick•Step has added a number of new designs to its popular Country, Eligna and Perspective 4 collections.
The new styles feature a variety of looks to capture today’s home decor trends, noted
Roger Farabee, vice president of marketing, including country, colonial and soft-scraped vintage hardwood and antiqued wood.
The soft-scraped products are part of the Country collection and feature designs “never before available in the laminate industry,” Farabee noted. Available in Autumn Maple, Stained Maple and Walnut, “they are characterized by their authentic vintage look with the most realistic surface ever achieved in a laminate floor.”
Compared to the traditional scraped or brushed products on the market today, soft-scraped means the planks feature a less aggressive surface finish and softly rounded edges. Each plank is 9-1/2mm thick, 54-11/32-in. long and 6-1/6-in. wide.
In addition to these three products, the Country collection has been given two other “authentic, hand soft-scraped” looks. Rustic Hickory has darkened edges for an antiqued look, while Oak Colonial is a golden brown color tone to coordinate with today’s primary kitchen cabinet shades.
The Eligna collection includes Oiled Walnut, a medium brown plank with a matte finish. Two other products, Island Oak and Canyon Oak “are sophisticated designs featuring deep registered embossing technology to create a highly realistic wood grain effect,” Farabee explained.
New to the Perspective 4 collection is an Oiled Walnut plank featuring a smooth matte finish and “impressive” color variation. As with all products in this line, the new style features beveled edges on all four sides.
“The sophistication and accurate wood patterning of this launch is the type of superior technology found only in Quick •Step,” Farabee concluded.
