International Design Guild has announced the winners of its
2006 Designer Showcase Awards. The awards recognize outstanding interior designs by design professionals who work with Guild members. Entries were judged and winners determined by experienced luxury floor covering Guild showroom owners, Guild staff and
CCA Global’s co-CEO
Howard Brodsky. The winners are:
The grand prize winner, and recipient of a $5,000 cash award: Madeleine Adams of
Dominion Rug in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
First runner-up, recipient of a $2,500 cash award: Jennifer Dumoulin of
The Rug Gallery in Cincinnati;
Honorable mention, recipient of a $1,000 cash award: Deanna Robinson, ASID allied, Gerridy’s Limited in Costa Mesa, Calif.;
Honorable mention, recipient of a $1,000 cash award: Arlene Wright,
Messner Carpeting in Pittsford, N.Y., and
Honorable mention, recipient of a $1,000 cash award: Tara Fingold, Dominion Rug in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
For the second consecutive year, International Design Guild’s Annual Designer Showcase Awards give design professionals a unique opportunity to be acknowledged for their beautiful interior designs and unique use of floor coverings. In addition to winning cash awards, participants have the opportunity to have their work featured in the Guild’s publication, Design Matters, as well as several other local and national publications.
Ben Baum of Dominion Rug boasted the grand prize winner and one of the honorable mentions. “I am so elated for the designers who were acknowledged for their beautiful work. It was especially gratifying for Dominion Rug to have the forum to faciliate the sharing of their designs with their peers on an international stage and get handsomely rewarded for it. It’s really a win-win situation for all those concerned.”
Winning designers will once again receive a one-year membership to the Guild’s exclusive Premier Professional Program, which provides unique support to design professionals including design trending information, color forecasts, educational programs, discounted business programs such as Sprint, Staples, Dell Computers and various insurances.
Designers interested in entering the Guild’s 2007 Designer Showcase Awards may obtain an official entry form from any International Design Guild showroom or by visiting www.design-guild.com. Projects for entry in the Third Annual Designer Showcase Awards begin Sept. 13 and run through April 15, 2007. Multiple entries will be accepted.
