“Our product line includes a wide variety of patterns, domestic and imported wood species from Ash and Zebrawood, solid and engineered construction, unfinished and prefinished options, and textures from smooth to wire-brushed to hand distressed,” he explained. “Our product is both manufactured and sourced overseas.” Products are made to order and shipped from Louisville, Ky.

“When I left Kentucky Wood Floors last month, I had intended to ‘take a break’ for an indefinite period of time,” said Stern. “However, two things have prevented me from pursuing this course of ‘inaction.’ First, many in the industry urged me to reconsider and assist in providing for their specialty hardwood flooring needs. Second, I actually missed the contact and the excitement of the day-to-day action in pursuit of providing the appropriate product for specific application.

When asked in what ways Louisville Wood Floors compares to Kentucky Wood Floors, Stern explained, we will be “similar in terms of a specialty, upscale product line, but with additional services such as complimentary lay-out, quick shipment of samples, short runs of custom colors, low-cost hand distressing and expertise from 33 years in the wood flooring industry.

“So,” he concluded, “we’re back to offer our expertise, experience, resources and services to those who have a need for specialty wood flooring.”
