DUNCAN NAMED VP OF MARKETING FOR MOHAWK RESIDENTIAL

DALTON (August 14, 2006) — David Duncan has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing for Mohawk Residential, according to Tom Lape, President of Mohawk Residential Flooring.

Duncan takes over the position from Ed Williams, who announced his retirement. He will oversee general marketing, advertising, merchandising and training for all segments of Mohawk’s Residential Strategic Business Unit.

Duncan began his career with Mohawk in 1989 in field sales for Karastan. He moved into marketing in 1991, rising through the ranks to Director of Karastan Marketing in 1995. Duncan left Karastan briefly for a career with Belgian carpet and rug company, Louis De Porteere, where he was President for the US operating company. He rejoined Karastan again in 2001 and has held a series of positions within the Mohawk organization where he has broadened his skills beyond the Fashion brand segment. He has played an active role in the marketing and merchandising arenas with all of the Mohawk brands including aligned programs in marketing, merchandising and sample related projects over the past few years.

Mike Zoellner, Vice President Marketing Services, and Steve Nosek, Director Advertising and Merchandising and their teams, will report to Duncan.

“David brings insight and enthusiasm to this position, and he has a keen understanding of Mohawk’s marketing strategies and goals,” said Lape. “He is an ideal individual to help Mohawk add to its marketing successes, and to help us find new ways to build our brand and its value to our dealers and to consumers.”

A 1988 graduate of the University of Missouri and a current resident of Kennesaw, GA., David and his wife Sandy have two children, Sarah and Christopher.
