Shaw Kicks Off Anso’s Fifth National Carpet Sale

Dalton—It might only be spring, but for Shaw Industries’ External Fiber Sales and Marketing division, fall is already in the air, as it announced the kick-off of the fifth annual Anso Nylon National Carpet Sale.

While the event is set for Sept. 1 through Oct. 16, retailers wishing to participate in it can start registering now through June 16. Eligible dealers are qualified Anso Advantage Account (AAA) members as well as those in the Shaw’s Couture and Anso Visions programs. By signing up, participants receive all the incentives the program offers them, their salespeople and customers.

LaShon McGinnis, advertising manager, noted since the event was first introduced in 2001 it “has been a sharp business-driving tool for dealers. The program is designed to drive consumer awareness and increase sales during the busiest carpet buying season of the year.”

She said this year’s National Carpet Sale is themed “Sense The Season” to coincide with all the senses felt during the fall months.

As in previous events, a wide array of incentives is available for participants, including the “Choose Your Cruise” Sweepstakes. A random drawing will take place early next January for eligible salespeople to award an Alaskan or Caribbean cruise for two. Participating salespeople can also earn up to a $20 bonus for every qualifying carpet sale.

Other features of the program include a specially prepared P-O-P kit. In addition, for those retailers who use their own advertising and include the Anso Nylon Carpet Sale logo will earn up to a 60% reimbursement.

McGinnis noted there will be additional advertising and in-store materials for those dealers who feature Couture or Visions in their showrooms.

She added, retailers will also be given the opportunity to maximize their co-op funds through some of the other marketing benefits in the program. For example, dealers can utilize prepared newspaper, radio and TV ads, a consumer direct mail campaign and “unique, in-store point-of-purchase materials, all of which coordinate with the seasonal theme of the sale.

“This year’s sale is sure to entice dealer participation,” McGinnis concluded, “as our comprehensive campaign is designed to meet the unique needs of dealers and their customers while at the same time reward retailers and their salespeople for their efforts.”
