Chicago—The
National Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) has announced the NAFCD 2006 Spring University Series which will take place May 21 to 23 in Evanston, Ill. The event is geared toward middle management and senior management personnel responsible for financial management, operations management, profit and warehousing.
Two consecutive tracks—Operations & Warehousing and Profit Enhancement—will be presented by Indian River Consulting Group.
Topics for each session are as follows:
• Improving Operations includes process re-engineering, critical constraints, strategic execution, performance metrics and measuring the success of improved operations;
• Warehousing Best Practices will cover inbound, outbound and inventory management operations. Topics such as error reduction, slotting,
licking methodologies and performance metrics will be covered;
• Financial Management will include cash management, budgeting, performance metrics and financial engineering, and
• Profit Improvement will offer product line management, organic expansion and acquisitions, smarter pricing, developing marketing competency and improving sales performance.
In addition, a general and closing session will address additional profit avenues.
Registration is $1,095 for association members and $1,395 for non-members. The fee includes access to all educational events, all class materials and two continental breakfasts and lunches. Registration forms submitted before May 1, will receive a $100 discount.
NAFCD’s Fall University is scheduled for Sept. 24 to 26.
