BHK Adding To Wood Offering; Launching Glueless Solid, Engineered Lines
Article Number: 864

Central Valley, N.Y.— BHK of America may primarily be known as a laminate company to retailers and consumers. But, a few years ago, the company ventured into the wood segment and has been slowly expanding its assortment to give distributors and dealers a complete offering.
At Surfaces 2006, the company will unveil two more wood collections—Moderna Solid Hardwood and Engineered Hardwood.

Both lines are constructed with BHK’s mechanical locking system, meaning no glue is required to install them. “We were one of the first to offer glueless laminate flooring in the U.S.,” explained Bill Byrne, vice president of sales and marketing. “Now, we’ve taken it to the next level with our new glueless wood systems.”

The solid collection features exotic species such as Pyinkado and Burma Teak, while the engineered line has these plus Doussie and Myanmar Walnut. The planks in either collection feature BHK’s four-sided micro bevel technology and “include all the exceptional quality characteristics of Moderna flooring systems,” he noted.

“Hardwood flooring is a product of nature and its beauty is characterized by distinctive color, grain patterns and even variations in texture,” Byrne added. “These variations which can be seen from the different species are part of the natural beauty and unique features of wood flooring and serve to enhance the natural looks of the floor.”
