LG Floors Having A ‘Coming Out’ Party In Vegas
Article Number: 852

Kenilworth, N.J.—Over the past couple of years LG Floors has quietly built a solid reputation among contractors. Even though the resilient company’s primary focus is the commercial segment, it has chosen Surfaces 2006 for its official unveiling, as all its distributors will be there.

“Surfaces may be viewed as a residential market,” explained Michael Freedman, executive vice president of sales and operations for Innovision, a wholly owned subsidiary of Associated/ACC International, which formed a partnership with LG to bring its products and services to the U.S., “but many of the people and companies who attend and take part in the show are involved on the contract side as well.”

Richard Goodman, Innovision’s president and COO, noted since bringing LG to America, the company has formed alliances with some of the industry’s top full-line distributors, had its products installed in a number of high-profile areas, and is ready to have an official “coming out party” to show-case to the industry why it intends to become a major player in the U.S.

LG is part of the Korean conglomerate LG Group, a vertically integrated, diversified company with a global workforce of 130,000 employees and worldwide company sales of $110 billion. Prior to coming to America, it was already one of the top four players in the world’s resilient flooring market with $800 million in annual sales.

At Surfaces, booth 1459, Innovision/LG will be doing more than showcasing its distribution network, the company’s portfolio of luxury vinyl tile, solid vinyl tile, heterogeneous sheet vinyl and ESD tile will be on display.

Many of the products such as those in its Nature-life sheet flooring collection feature benefits including mechanical embossing and registration to replicate the look of hardwood.

“The Rustic collection offers excellent reality and texture of natural wood,” Freedman said. “We have had strong enthusiasm for the Naturelife series and with this new collection we expect it to continue. People are interested in products that create a comfortable environment without compromising on performance. Naturelife delivers on both.”

In addition to Naturelife, Innovision/LG has five other series—Stone/Wood, Neovia, Noble Art, Artwalk and Static Pulse—each with its own distinctive sub-collections that will be displayed at Surfaces.
