Beaulieu Canada raises $25k for CURE
Article Number: 6657

ACTON VALE, QUEBEC, CANADA— Beaulieu Canada recently presented JoAnne La Pointe Braun, director of the CURE Foundation, with a check for $25,000. The donation was made just one year after the start of Beaulieu Canada’s partnership with the CURE Foundation, which was established in 1996 and supports breast cancer research, education and equipment.

The donation was raised from sales of Beaulieu Canada’s laminate line, Esperanza, which is Spanish for “hope.” Created with Beaulieu Canada’s mandate of environmental responsibility and support of women’s health issues in mind, Esperanza laminate flooring was launched last year. Esperanza was manufactured with a pink underlay so customers would know that a percentage of sales from their purchase of the product would contribute to the CURE Foundation and breast cancer research.

During last year’s Tour for the Cure, Beaulieu Canada brought displays of its new product line, including Esperanza, to its retailers’ doorsteps. The month-long, 18-city, cross-Canada tour raised awareness of Beaulieu Canada’s new products and its partnership with the CURE Foundation by going directly to its customers.

Beaulieu Canada has continued its partnership with the CURE Foundation in 2011. A percentage of sales from new laminate and residential carpet SKUs, also manufactured with the pink integrated cushion underlay for customer awareness, will support Beaulieu Canada’s commitment.
