DENVER—Textile Consultants and the Academy of Textiles & Flooring (ATF) are working together to present the one-day symposium, Inspections 2010, for carpet inspectors. The Symposium will be held one day prior to Surfaces in Las Vegas on Feb. 1 at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel & Casino.
“We are working hard to continue the great work that Carl Williams did for the carpet inspection industry for over two decades,” said Larry Cooper of Textile Consultants. “We are working closely with Bobbie Williams, Carl’s wife and partner, to continue to produce an outstanding program for the inspection industry.”
This one-day symposium is designed to give anyone involved in the carpet inspection industry an opportunity to update their background knowledge, learn some of the new techniques and hear the latest information available, he explained. “Our instructors are very well known in the industry and all continue to strive to bring excellence to the floor covering trade, through education and sharing of information.”
Attending the symposium will give attendees one IICRC CEU credit, for inspectors or cleaners. “We have made arrangements with the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel for special room rates of $89 per night and you can extend your stay throughout the Surfaces show,” said Cooper.
The symposium features some of the top presenters and leaders in the carpet inspection industry. Hosts include Bobbie Williams and Cooper, an inspector with 30 years experience and the IICRC standards consultant. Instructors include:
FCNews “Claims” columnist Lew Migilore of LGM & Associates;
Jim Walker, International Certified Floor Covering Installers Association (CFI); Daniel Bernazzani of Liberty Consulting, and Robert Varden,
Seam Master Industries. Also, there will be short presentations from Barry Costa, vice chairman of the IICRC S600 carpet installation standard; Evan Kessler, editor of ICS Cleaning Specialist magazine, and Tom Hill, executive administrator of the IICRC.
“For over two decades, Carl Williams brought educational opportunities to the inspection industry,” said Cooper. “We will mark his passing during a lunchtime Memoriam.”
