The cork and bamboo flooring manufacturer’s participation in NeoCon marked its first foray into the contract market, and it came with its share of innovation: natural oil finish strand woven products; and Corboo, a strand woven bamboo infused with cork.

According to Piet Dossche, president and CEO, USFloors is the only floor covering manufacturer that offers a natural oil finish on a strand woven bamboo product. This not only enhances the product’s surface visual but also the performance by making selective reparability possible.

The initial contract offering of natural oil finished products includes strand woven bamboo in nine colorways and strand Corboo in four colorways.

Corboo is said to offer an innovative twist on traditional strand woven bamboo as it is infused with cork material that creates a veining effect and improved sound absorption properties. This process is patent-pending.

USFloors’ Natural Bamboo products contribute to LEED credits for renewable materials and low-emitting products, and the Natural Cork products satisfy LEED credits for renewable materials, recycled content and low-emitting products. In addition, all USFloors products are well within compliance of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements for formaldehyde emissions.
