RICHMOND, CALIF.—Dale Payton-Engle has been named the new CEO of green flooring supplier EcoTimber, replacing Lewis Buchner, who is leaving to pursue other environmental and green business interests. The change became effective on May 1.
Payton-Engle previously held the positions of COO and CFO since joining EcoTimber in May of last year. His professional experience has been in the branded consumer products area and includes a combination of expertise in both private equity middle-market portfolio companies across a diverse group of industries, as well as Fortune 500 companies, including Avery-Dennison and Quaker Oats.
In his work in middle-market companies, Payton-Engle focused on mergers and acquisitions, improving operational efficiency, and sales and marketing, particularly in companies selling natural/organic foods such as Annie’s Homegrown/Annie’s Naturals.
“EcoTimber will be introducing a number of new items to its 100% FSC-certified product line in the near term,” said Payton-Engle, “and is uniquely positioned to benefit from the economic recovery as it continues to provide the highest quality wood flooring with an authentic commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership—our mission since 1992.”
