Mohawk Group keeps getting greener
Article Number: 4423

MARIETTA, GA.—The Mohawk Group, comprised of commercial carpet brands Karastan, Lees, Bigelow and Durkan, announced the ISO 14001:2004 certification of its East Dublin, Ga., manufacturing facility. The certification recognizes companies that successfully reduce environmental impact while maintaining profitability, which the company does through its commitment to minimize its environmental footprint.

“As an organization built on sustainable and environmentally responsible practices, we continue to implement innovative technologies that enable us to deliver upon our environmental commitment, while further reducing our impact on the world around us and strengthening the high-performance flooring solutions that our customers expect from us,” said Al Kabus, president.

The East Dublin mill joins the company’s previously certified Glasgow, Va., and Landrum, S.C., facilities as models of the group’s ongoing sustainability efforts.
