J&J unifies brands

DALTON—To ensure it continues to meet the needs of its customers with both product and service, J&J Industries has created one extensive portfolio by combining products that have been sold under the J&J Commercial and Invision Carpet System brands under one umbrella: J+J/Invision.

Mark Clayton, vice president of marketing, said this move, done in response to customer-stated needs and after several months of comprehensive, third-party research, means “customers will no longer be forced to choose between design and performance or sustainability and functionality when selecting commercial carpet.”

While this was a consolidation of brands, it was not in terms of personnel or product, he told FCNews. “Our sale force has been set up to represent both the J&J and Invision product lines for several years now, so this did not result in any changes to our sales force or sales structure and no positions were eliminated as a result.”

As for the product portion, he noted, “we did not consolidate or reduce our product offering through this process. We will now be sampling all products in one simple unified sample portfolio under the J+J/Invision logo.”

In effect, Clayton said the initiative has one purpose: “To bring vision in line with reality for designers, architects and end users, freeing them from compromise. And, do it in a way that makes it even easier to do business with J+J/Invision. This will enhance our ability to provide customers an overall seamless experience.”
