Pergo, the leading manufacturer and marketer of laminate flooring, has announced an expanded partnership with German-based Wächter Packautomatik, one of Europe’s most successful mechanical engineering companies. Through a new licensing agreement, Wächter Packautomtik may market any machines developed in cooperation with Pergo as “Original Wächter Packautomatik engineered by Pergo.”
Wächter, which has a longstanding cooperative relationship with Pergo, is one of the preeminent manufacturers of machines that insert clips used in laminate flooring fold-down joints. Flooring that incorporates this technology has been produced by Pergo since 2008 and has quickly become a worldwide standard.
“It is important to us, together with selected suppliers, to set worldwide standards that benefit the entire industry. This conforms precisely to Pergo’s philosophy of constantly improving laminate flooring and, hence, offering consumers ever higher standards,” says Ralf Eisermann, CEO of Pergo and manager of flooring activities at Pfleiderer. “Furthermore, we can now emphasize our superior engineering competence alongside our numerous patents.”
Pergo-licensed machines already have been delivered all over the world by Wächter Packautomtik. For more information, visit www.pfleiderer.com.
