FOSTORIA, OHIO—Add Roppe Corp. to the growing list of companies now using the ecoScorecard Web-based tool that calculates a product’s environmental impact based on the most popular green ratings systems being used.

“We understand the hassle designers and contractors alike are dealing with when trying to select products and then gather their documentation,” said Dee Dee Brickner, Roppe’s marketing coordinator.

The company already gave customers a similar way to understand its products with EcoEffects, but she noted, “Our clients have determined ecoScorecard offers a more efficient manner to select products that best fit their project while alleviating the dilemmas of obtaining the documentation needed to complete the building certification process.”

Brickner said EcoEffects is still being used as it denotes environmentally friendly products within Roppe’s product line. “The EcoEffects micro-site was designed to gather all information on Roppe’s green products in a single location in an effort to educate viewers on the wide variety of products that are available for sustainable design.”

That site, she added, now has a direct link to ecoScorecard so users can immediately get the additional documentation needed for submittals.
