Masland’s breathtaking collection of handmade wool rugs in the Soumak Collection reflects pattern influences from history’s great rug making traditions, in unique colorations that are firmly rooted in the modern world. New for 2009 are Agra, Donegal, Green Oushak, Linen Tabriz, Mahal, and Olive Ziegler. These Soumak Collection runners embody the casual sophistication found in the Soumak weave. Another exciting Masland innovation, the company has teamed up with premiere rug weavers in India to capture that one-of-a-kind look so many seek. Masland’s Heirloom Rug Collection showcases beautiful rugs with the look and feel of antiques. Four new hand woven wool rugs with coordinating runners are showcased in this year’s introductions. All feature the ever popular Persian patterns – open vines, medallions, and trellis designs -- presented in the latest fashionable colorations.
Rug sizes are 6’ x 9’, 8’ x 11’, and 10’ x 14’ with a suggested retail price starting at $2,199 for the 6’ x 9’. Coordinating runners are 2’6’’ x 9’ with a suggested retail price of $899.
True to the collection’s name, these Heirloom rugs are certain to be a priceless accessory to be enjoyed for generations. The popularity of natural fiber continues to flourish and Masland’s Sisal Rugs are designed to meet the demand. Woven with the finest quality sisal with interesting textures and natural hues, these sisals blend harmoniously in any setting – from modern to traditional.
Sisal Boucle and Sisal Tiger Eye are both available in five colors; Panama is available in four colors. All of the sisal rugs can be customized with cotton tape binding available in 65 colors and custom sized up to a 13 ft. 2 in. width. Standard Sisal sizes are 4’ x 6’, 6’ x 9’, 8’ x 10’, 9’ x 12’, 10’ x 14’, 12’ x 14’, and 13’2’’ x 16’.
